Brake, transmission, exhaust and glass work is often done by specialty shops that see the same job dozens of times a week. Brake shops replace pads and rotors the same day and usually inspect for free; transmission shops rebuild or replace automatics and clutches, a multi-day job that deserves a second quote; muffler and exhaust shops weld custom pipes and replace catalytic converters, which in many states must meet emissions rules. Alignment and suspension shops fix pulling, uneven tire wear and worn shocks, and radiator shops handle overheating and cooling-system leaks. Auto glass shops replace windshields, often at your home or office, and recalibrate the driver-assistance cameras mounted behind the glass. Window tinting and car audio shops round out the group.

Fort Worth is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Fort Worth is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Had them work on my transmission about a year ago. Torque converter went out after about a year and I brought it in and they honored their warranty. Fixed it right away and we’re up and running again. Nice to see someone stand behind their repairs. Other shops would’ve had a 1000 and one reasons why it wasn’t their fault. Thank you Clint!

I took my son’s 1981 Chevy square body to have some work done about 2 years ago. They didn’t top of fluids and it didn’t even make it home. We’ve had problems ever since. Yes it’s an old truck but it ran great until this. They were supposed to change it from 3 speed to an automatic.

I was given a price for my transmission rebuild and when I picked up my classic car the price didn’t change. In fact my battery gave me some trouble due to corroded post (my fault) Clint cleaned up my battery and charged it to get me home. My car is running smooth this business is old fashioned good service at a good price. I would recommend to all my family and friends.

They’ve had my car four times over the last 6 or 7 weeks, initial service was great with fixing my transmission. Issues arose when I had to bring my car back due to massive fluid leaks. After they resolved the fluid leak issue I did not make it home which was less than 4 miles away and my check engine light come on. Took the car back and mechanic who had worked on my car told me he knock on a vacuum hose while cleaning the fluid mess and was causing it to throw a code for running lean. Fast forward 3 weeks later, I’m now being told they’re trying to charge me to fix problems they created. Do not bring your vehicle here unless you want longterm headaches and to be double charged for their mistakes.

I took my ‘06 Dodge Ram 1500 to Clint’s about 8+ years ago. Great experience then...Fast forward to today. I thought I was having transmission issues so I took it to Clint’s to get it diagnosed. Turns out it wasn’t the transmission at all. It’s still in good working order. It was a miss fire according to Clint. I’m going to start with replacing the spark plugs first then go from there. Bottom line here is that Clint identified the issue and gave me a list of things to check. I still believe in the Good in people especially when it comes to automotive repair. Clint has been running his business for over 20 years now and is honest and will also educate you. If you dig deep enough you’ll find the right person for the job. Thanks so much Clint for your help. Folks if you’re in the area and in need of transmission repair Clint’s transmission is the place. 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7L V8 140,000 miles.
